University social responsibility, a substantive function of the school of Military Engineers for disaster risk management

This article describes the experience of the substantive function corresponding to the social responsibility of the School of Military Engineers. Specifically, with regard to the educational project of the Master's Degree in Risk Management and Development, aimed at promoting education for sustainable development, through the appropriation of educational methodologies in the subjects of sociology of risk, culture and community development, and public policies, as well as legislation for disaster risk management. All this, with the active participation of the student in the formation of communities, within the framework of Law 1523 of 2012, with academic, research, social and institutional results, in response to global agendas for sustainable development and disaster risk reduction
