Abstract

this comparative analysis allows us to identify the advantages and disadvantages existing between the structural system of load-bearing walls or industrialized, compared to the structural system of porticos in concrete, under an environment of high seismic risk such as that recorded by Armenia - Quindío, according to the guidelines established in the NSR-10; for this, structural, budgetary, normative factors, work performance and its reception in said city are contemplated. The design and modeling is carried out in ETABS of a 5-level building under the two aforementioned structural systems, in such a way that it allows comparing the required amounts of steel, drifts and displacements of each structure; Likewise, these designs become inputs for the elaboration of budgets and work schedules. Finally, the analysis of the construction licenses issued in the city of Armenia during a specific period of time, allows complementing the series of advantages and disadvantages identified for the structural systems studied.
