Abstract

In this article the theoretical bases, practical procedures and qualitative and quantitative analysis showing that the technique of holographic interferometry (HI), is not only feasible in detecting defects in predictive and preventive maintenance of mechanical parts are developed aircraft, but has three great advantages over traditional methods of nondestructive testing such as dye penetrant, eddy currents, ultrasound, thermography; in respect to better resolution (including micrometers and nanometers) in troubleshooting, greater operator safety and speed in obtaining results.
