Abstract

This article proposes a brief comparison on the sequencing of works in the construction of road tunnels, from input data, such as: the number of machines, number of jobs, the number of stages, and the preparation and operation times of the works in each of these, with the objective of minimizing the total occupation time of all the stages, in such a way that a more efficient sequence of the execution of this type of projects is obtained. The results obtained by applying the algorithm developed to a particular scenario of three stages and two works have shown the decrease of the total occupation time of the stages in 39 units of time against an arbitrary solution with a total occupation of 59 units of time, confirming in this way that the algorithm in the application is significant to a problem that exhibits these characteristics.
