While the current outlook of engineering and architecture is quite good and the structures based on the reuse of marine containers, it has been shown that their use is limited to the stable lands from the earthquake resistant point of view and with foundation soils of very good bearing capacity, which are mainly located in the old continent, specifically in the low countries. From here it is explained that one of the powers of these structures is their rapid assembly, simply placed on level ground and is almost ready to inhabit. While it is already known in the field of engineering, the steel has a high resistance load stresses, flexural and compression is a need to understand at least in the numerical concept the structural behavior of these modular structures, due to the absence of local regulations governing the design and construction of the same. To have a clearer picture of the structural stability of modular container buildings are numerically model a building with 5 levels of height and distribution of 4 containers of 20 feet in length per floor, also added additional metal structures were finally are, metal profiles with each structural element predominant, beams and columns, which in Modelación numérica de edificio modular de contenedores marítimos ISO de 20 pies /Numerical modeling of modular building of 20 feet ISO maritime containers Alejandro Santoyo1 ; Juan Carlos Ruge2 ; Daniel Alberto Zuluaga Astudillo3 1 Ingeniero Civil, Universidad Piloto de Colombia, Bogotá D.C 2 Ingeniero Civil, MSc.
