Technical analysis for the production of BG and SBG material according to the IDU norm, in the Monte de Sion quarry in the municipality of Soacha

Abstract

This document analyses technically the production of granular base and subbase material according to the norm IDU, extracted from the Monte de Sion quarry in the municipality of Soacha. An experimental and descriptive study was accomplished, realizing tests and analysis of results which were interpreted to prepare the possible granular mixes that allow to use the material produced in the studied quarry. The results indicate that the granular material is accurate to prepare granular subbases, but not enough to manufacture granular bases, for which a proposal is made to make the quarry to produce SBG_A.
