Strength and durability analysis of cement floor with addition of textile fibers from Denim (JEAN)

Abstract

The use of recycled materials in processes of road construction is a technic that has been increasing in the last years. In this work, it is presented as soil improving alternative stabilizing with cement the addition of textile fibers of Denim (jean, which is characterized by means of geo-mechanic tests of CBR, compressive strength and wetting and drying test. The result shows that the inclusion of this textile fiber increases stabilized soil resistance and improves its durability.
