Abstract

The program of survey and geographic information, through the development of an academic space based on applied research by means of the basic sciences that support the training axes of the future surveyor and working on mental and graphic representations as components of the specialized language that support the engineering processes, intends to support a line of research related to the training process to contribute to the improvement of skills related to spatial location, as well as its management, representation and determination, being a substantial basis for any anthropic intervention and fundamental for the design and interpretation of engineering works. In this way, proposing and structuring integrated projects within the framework of geodesy and digital cartography allows the constant incorporation of new thematic fields inside the curriculum of the program, from the evolution of technologies, up to the need to count with practical and experimental methods in the design of the learning units. These facilitate the appropriation and management of geographic information, based on alignments established by local authorities.
