Abstract

During the twentieth century, several attempts at reforming development characterized Colombian history and the sectors that integrate the advances of science and technology in the field of civil works construction management. These attempts are predominantly focused on achieving a historical account from a perspective of the organization of information, so that it becomes a general framework for the study of historiography in the field of social and economic history. This from a vision centered on the units of the military engineers, an organization that has defined intelligence strategies to consolidate a structure of knowledge formation open to learning and with the framework of regulating information capable of overcoming difficulties, recognizing threats and experiencing new opportunities. The article seeks to position the historiography of physical infrastructure in the great themes of social development and to identify the problems of the history of the twentieth century. Besides, to analyze the participation of military engineering with an appraisal that manages to demonstrate the evolution of innovation over time, making evident that in this area an idea drives from intervention to innovation and converge various technologies and components.
