Abstract

This document aims to demonstrate the capability of the Army of Colombia to provide humanitarian aid to a country when required, in the eventuality of a natural or man-made event. This justified the humanitarian assistance provided to the Republic of Haiti, following the earthquake last January 12, 2010, where 1058 Army mobilized people attended 17.832 victims of the disaster, 47.937 surgical procedures performed, providing medicines 3,5 barrels and also 12.000 supply kit and toilet.
