Abstract

Be pedestrian is a considerable fraction of mobility in Bogotá, with a 15% of citizens in working hours. In addition, we must add that Bogotá D.C. is receiving 52% of foreign visitors to Colombia. The previous numbers indicate a high potential for people been pedestrian through the city without knowing it, requi- ring information to guide them in all journeys made. If these travels are to places or locations with high flow of users, as is the case of universities, institu- tional buildings, transportation terminals, and hospi- tals, among others, provide adequate information for the orientation and location of visitor facilities is an important factor to decrease travel time. The trip is made in 2 instances. The first is the external mobility: defined as one that starts at the public transport's nearest station to destination and ends at the entry to it. The second is the internal mobility, defined as starting at the entrance to their destination and ends at the trip location's end (office, class room, etc.). If an adequate information is not provided, visitors tra- vel time increases by 36% and 57% from the time spends by a person does know the environment and facilities to which it is addressed.
