Abstract

Technological advances in tunnel construction have increased the length of the tunnels in the Colombian road network. The road tunnels are becoming a so- lution to the challenge of mobility and the topography which is possible to reduce travel distances to increa- se the progress of the regions. Therefore, you should consider that the safety measures in tunnels are not a secondary issue and therefore, from its design should consider installing devices that prevent acci- dents or to reply promptly to incidents that may arise.
