Abstract

One of the most important conditions for the blast, is the fragmentation of the material, since according to the variation, the results are impor- tant in the loading and transport due to the grea- ter difficulties involved in the extraction process. In this project, comparing the known methods of detonation of a blasting: non-electrical and electronic equipment, taking into account the final fragmentation of the mesh design for each drill, we evaluated the results of each of the blasting done with the two methods, as the stack, with each vibration of initiation systems and costs were calculated as drilling, blasting, loading and starting. The results obtained were analyzed through graphs and explanatory ta- bles and determined which one is most suitable for the extraction of limestone in the mine Nob- sa of Holcim (Colombia) SA.
