Abstract

This innovative technology to capture real continuous three-dimensional mapping, it gi- ves added values such as high precision and more detail than conventional surveying, but it isn't necessarily an alternative to displace the latter. GeoSpatial, Colombian enginee- ring company specializing in geomatics has brought the country the first equipment Top- con IP-S2, which has made possible, in just a few months, more than 10,000 miles of routes in both urban and rural surveying. While this type of technological developments, it is not necessarily replace conventional surveying equipment such as total stations GNSS equi- pment, and processes annexes (polygonal, le- veling), this technology allow provide more information of points with coordinates X, Y, Z, centimeter precision and continuous, more photos of 360° added augmented reality, sup- porting more accurate and generating support in the process of design or stakeout of roads.
