Abstract

For the study analyzes the rainfall conditions typical of a Colombian territory. In a job like this, the display is initially floodplain through interpretation of radar images, satellite and aerial photographs, all supported field testing of the interpreted data. As additional infor- mation necessary for drawing conclusions, it should consider other variables such as weather, geology, temperature, topography, series and historical occurrences and hy- drological in the region. After data analysis and cross-checking information, images that provide greater confidence for many reasons, among which stand out the scales, the quan- tity and quality of this, and the date of aerial photographs are taken, the radar, being pro- duced by an active sensor microwave ran- ge, for its essence of complete elimination of weather barriers are also important when analyzing the topography of the area visually.
