Abstract

This paper presents the definition of local coordinate systems in urban centers and the implementation problems in the construc- tion stages of an engineering project. The goal is to create space for discussion on whether all the parameters of existing local systems should be designed to maintain; or could be redefined to eliminate differences between the measures defined in mapping and obtained in the field; regarding the huge improvements of details of equipment and measurement techniques.
